We are accepting applications for a Full-Time Maintenance Clerk position at our Fillmore Store (will also work at our Polk St location).
Needs to be available Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday at Fillmore. Saturday and Tuesdays at Polk.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential:
• Keep building floors clean by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Clean equipment such as coffee compressors and coolers.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as closing and/or locking doors and checking appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, manually and/or using hand trucks.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, and ladders when needed.
• Prepare facilities for events and meetings when needed.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Follow all company Illness and Injury Prevention Plan policies and procedures.
Other Functions:
• Performs other duties assigned by Store Manager or Supervisor.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
• Ability to lift, move and stack up to 50# cases, containers and bags
• Standing for up to eight hours
• Job requires working in-store, outside and in refrigeration (temperatures below 41F).
• Job involves repetitive tasks. (e.g., sweeping, mopping, etc.)
• Exposure to food ingredients and cleaning agents. (e.g., bleach, ammonia, and a variety of grocery products and natural cleaners).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with cleaning and maintenance preferred
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently
