We are accepting applications for a part-time Meat Clerk position for Evening & Weekends at our Fillmore Store location in Cow Hollow.

Provide courteous and efficient processing of meat sales for customers and assist in maintaining the meat department. This is a key customer service job which requires personable and service-oriented performance of all duties. The Meat Department Sales Clerk reflects the personality and character of the store, and must be focused on projecting our genuine willingness to deliver what we promise in our mission statement. Meat Clerks must have or gain familiarity with products in this department, including product origins and methods of cooking.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assists customers in a courteous manner
Wraps and tags customer selection with proper pricing
Cuts or otherwise prepares meat to customer specifications when appropriate
Performs cutting and production work to prepare products for the case
Maintains display and merchandising, keeping cases well stocked and attractive
Understands and practices safe food handling
Understands and practices equipment safety (including knives, saws and slicers)
Maintains a clean and well organized department including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, restocking supplies and washing dishes
Performs other duties assigned by Store Manager or Supervisor.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Ability to handle up to 50# cases, containers and bags
Standing for up to eight hours
Working in refrigerated areas
Repetitive tasks
Exposure to food ingredients and cleaning agents

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience preferred
Ability to practice Safe Food Handling
Ability to safely use required equipment
Must be able to follow directions.
Working familiarity with natural foods and product lines, commitment to continuing growth and education.
