Current position includes SOUS CHEF/KITCHEN SUPERVISOR to oversee our Back of House food service production. 

The  Sous Chef is responsible for food service production, purchasing, and staffing. The Sous Chef will work with the Owner and Deli/Cafe Team Leader to create recipes develop the menu, and maintain impeccable food service operational standards.  

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all kitchen operations and production of prepared foods
  • Participate in menu and recipe development 
  • Purchasing for all deli/cafe foods including produce, service charcuterie, and kitchen
  • Responsible for updating price files and maintaining positive gross margin/food costs
  • Merchandising, maintenance and rotation of all packaged and prepared foods
  • Communicate with FOH deli/cafe staff and store supervisors
  • Oversee all kitchen operations including catering, prepared foods, and sanitation
  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation
  • Train and develop kitchen crew
  • Participate in quarterly inventory counts
  • Spanish language skills welcome

Applicants must be available mornings, evenings, and weekends; up to 5 full time shifts per week. Applicants also need to be available during major holidays throughout the year including the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve.
