Wheeling Auto Center  is looking for an automotive
technician/mechanic ASE Certified.

This is the type of shop you would be working in:•12,500
ft.² with 12 well-maintained  lifts, alignment rack and several
flat bays to be shared with three technicians and one apprentice•

Two fully trained, very professional
and highly motivated service advisors/parts specialist to
take care of the four production technicians. •Hoffman
alignment machine and locked and lighted lift. Fully tooled for all
electrical/electronic/computer repairs.  Many up to date  factory scan tools,
lab scopes, engine analyzers and every other accessory
necessary to maintain and repair today's modern  vehicles.

  • Gas and electric welding
    accessories/equipment at your disposal. A well-equipped
    metal fabrication shop, all of the press tools necessary for
    heavy work including every imaginable puller, bearing press
    and mandrel.
  • Forward thinking, progressive shop owner who enjoys investing in tooling,
  • equipment and education to remain at the forefront of automotive service

    •Five separate computer workstations throughout the
    shop. All communications between you and your parts and
    service advisors are done electronically -- very little
    hiking back and forth to a parts counter! Alldata, iATN and
    Mitchell are the information systems and are available on
    super high-speed Internet access.

    •Overhead oil supply and well-thought-out exhaust
    extraction system and airdrops in every possible location.
    This is backed up with a very reliable high output
    well-maintained air compressor.

    •Two air-conditioner recovery machines and all the
    special tools needed for air-conditioning repair.

    •The shop is very well lit.

    •Your own personal air powered evacuated oil drain

    •A fully equipped locker room with space
    for personal storage. A fully equipped break room with a
    refrigerator freezer, microwave, topline coffee, and
    all of the video equipment necessary for any type of
    training you would like to receive via the Internet, DVD, or
    any other way you desire to continue your training (which we
    pay for).

    •Lots of fenced/secure parking for our customer
    vehicles and you. •A well-stocked parts Department
    complete with all the fast-moving parts, nuts
    and bolts, fasteners, fuses, electrical connections and
    every other imaginable thing to allow you to be productive
    and perform top-quality work.This is what is required of
    you, the technician:•A valid drivers license for the
    state of Illinois.•ASE certifications in a minimum of
    three areas. Master certification is preferred.

    •A minimum of three years experience in the automotive
    repair industry working as a line technician.

    •The ability to be punctual on a daily basis and to
    pass a random drug test.

    •A toolbox full of tools necessary to perform
    top-quality line work on most vehicles.

    •Computer and typing skills. Good verbal skills. The
    ability to communicate concisely and economically with
    customers, coworkers, and service advisors/parts

    •You will never be required to use your valuable time
    to call customers or to order your own parts.These are the

    work on. There will always be one flat bay for that type of

    work. You will be supplied plenty of work on a daily basis
    to satisfy your professional and economic needs.

    •Six paid holidays per physical year. Five paid
    vacation days after the anniversary of your first year. 10
    paid vacation days after the anniversary of your third

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year with further increases as skills improve.
