MISSION STATEMENT:
The Womyn’s Outreach Association is currently the only organization on campus with the explicit mission to empower and liberate the female student population of San Diego State University.

PURPOSE:
The Womyn’s Outreach Association is an explicitly anti-racist/anit-classist/anti-homophobic/anti-siziest/anti-ablist/multi-racial feminist group that focuses on issues of inequality and oppression that effect marginalized communities such as womyn, people of color, and LGBTQ people. Our primary focus is to eradicate sexism, gendersim, homophobia, racism, violence, the control and abuse of the female body and mind, and other local and global issues that impact the lives of womyn. The Womyn’s Outreach Association contributes to the overall feminist goal of an equitable and socially just society for everyone through activism, education, advocacy, and the provision of resources to womyn and men. We are committed to the total economic, social, political, spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional liberation and healing of ALL womyn, no exceptions. We welcome feminists from walks all of life and seek membership for marginalized communities such as womyn, people of color, and LGBTQ people. We welcome gender and racially conscious men into the Womyn’s Association, but we will remain focused on issues pertaining to womyn regardless of male membership. We value every womin on campus and welcome her with the goal of inspiring her to recognize her own value and pursue her aspirations to her fullest potential.

The Andrea O'Donnell Women's Outreach Association is named in honor of the Women's Studies major and Women's Resource Center student leader who was murdered by her boyfriend in 1994. Her work on behalf of improving women's lives and her tragic death inspire and remind us about the empowerment women can experience and still be subject to abuse.
