AQ Restaurant & Bar and Bon Marche Brasserie are seeking experienced, motivated, hardworking individuals to join our growing team.

AQ features ingredient-driven, progressive northern California cuisine combining both classic French technique and modern cooking technologies. We change our entire 4 course prix fixed menu every season and offer a chefs tasting menu that changes nightly.

Bon Marche Brasserie offers seasonal riffs on French classics alongside brasserie standards. We make all products in house including soft cheeses and rustic charcuterie, country-style terrines, roulades, and pates

Good attitude is crucial to a cohesive, successful team.Our concepts feature open kitchens so cleanliness, professional demeanor, good hygiene, and the ability/interest to interact with and engage guests are very important.

The Sous Chef is responsible for collaborating with the executive chef/chef de cuisine on menu design and production for the savory kitchen and all aspects of food production including quality assurance, cost control, employee relations and related tasks as it pertains to the back of house.

The Sous Chef candidate will need to have a superior knowledge of classic & modern techniques including the principles and formulas concerning butchery, sauces, ratios, menu development & pastry knowledge. He/she must also have the ability to multitask and work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment.

- Able to perform the basic physical functions of the job such as standing for hours at a time, lifting items up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills & Experience
- Culinary degree or Bachelors degree
- High level of cleanliness and organization skills
