Market Hall Foods, a nationally known specialty food store, has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic cheese specialist.

We are located in the Rockridge Market Hall in Oakland. We are known for our specialty groceries, delicious prepared foods and amazing international cheese selection. We are looking for individuals that will help us sell delicious food to our community by fulfilling the following responsibilities:

 CHEESE SPECIALIST

• must love cheese
• full time (includes nights & weekends)
• Work intensely as part of a unified team
• receiving & handling fine cheese from around the world
• use your creativity to merchandize bountiful displays of cheese
• sell quality cheese with the cheese makers intentions in mind
• engage with customers about cheese/wine parings & menu planning
• expand your knowledge within the world of cheese to better educate our valued customers

Experience and knowledge of cheese is required for the Cheese Specialist position.
Qualifications for this position include a passion for fine food, energy for customer service, and ability to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment.  This position requires you to be on your feet, lift a little, talk a lot -- and taste wonderful food.
