Certified Medical Assistant (MA)

Currently seeking a Medical Assistant for direct hire, temp to hire and contract opportunities in the Austin area. The ideal candidate will be Nationally Certified and possess at least 1 year of experience working in a clinic.

Responsibilities of the Certified Medical Assistant (MA)

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
• Obtain all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Provide phone triage when needed.
• Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Administers injections.

Requirements of the Certified Medical Assistant (MA)

• High school diploma or GED required
• Nationally Certified 
• Must have at least 1 year of experience working in a clinic
• Must have current CPR
• Bilingual preferred 
• Must have reliable transportation
