This is an exciting opportunity to be part of downtown Napa's hot spot! Napkins is looking for talented Ex.Chef, General Manager and Bar Manager 


The ideal candidate should be hard working, dedicated, and have a strong service background with minimum of 3-5 years management experience. The applicants must be serious about the hospitality industry with food & beverage knowledge. 

Executive Chef 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Participates in long range planning including the development and execution of new menus, equipment and budget planning.
- Possesses a working knowledge and understanding of the budget development process.
- Oversees the ordering, receiving and storage of all food products and ensures that corporate specifications and health standards are met.
- Oversees and ensures that all food is prepared to specifications in presentation and recipe.
- Oversees the monitoring of weekly sales and adjusts prep production levels.
- Oversees and ensures restaurant and Health Department sanitation requirements are maintained at all times.
- Oversees and ensures that accurate inventories, extension and menu items price verifications are maintained and conducted.
- Maintains food cost and budgetary guidelines while possessing an understanding of food costing formulas and yield percentages.
- Interviews, hires, trains, recommends performance evaluations and participates in problem resolution.
- Ability to delegate tasks with proper instructions with follow through and follow up.

-Previously led a kitchen at a fast-paced restaurant
-Has at least 2 years experience as an Executive Chef
-Passionate about food and people
-Focuses on local, sustainable, seasonal and organic ingredients
-Has a strong work ethic, is willing to work long hours
-Can handle a fast-paced environment
-Stays cool under pressure, treats his or her team fairly and with respect ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
General manager
Qualifications:
-3 years of restaurant management experience
-Minimum 5 years of overall experience in the restaurant industry.
-Strong coaching skills and team building experience
-Ability to work an open schedule; i.e. mornings, nights, weekends & holidays.
-Friendly, outgoing personality with positive attitude
-Reliable, flexible and a team player
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Remarkable guest relation abilities
-Polite and professional
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work load in a deadline driven, demanding environment
-Must be organized, self motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail
-Wine and Spirits knowledge
-Proficient computer skills including POS, Inventory and Cost Control application ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bar Manger 

  • Maintaining seasonal cocktail recipes, costing, consistency. 
  • Bartender Training and education.
  • Inventory and Ordering.
  • Maintain cleanliness and equipment.
  • 4 services /wk

 A solid knowledge of Cocktails, Liquor, Beer, and Wine is required. Previous managing experience expected.
