POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Revenue Manager is responsible for implementing hotel revenue management objectives across their managed portfolio, which encompass maximizing revenues and profit through rate and inventory management of all market segments at the hotel. They will take an active role in the hotel’s pricing and distribution of inventory across various channels of distribution to maximize revenues. The position supports their portfolio in meetings, analyzing trends in group and transient segments, exceeding budged occupancy, ADR and revenue goals and setting group ceilings, target rates in conjunction with the sales and catering team. They will be responsible for managing and maintaining group and transient inventory controls including daily review, implementation of rooms and rate inventory controls for portfolio of hotels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitoring and understanding the pricing of competitors, the dynamics of the local market, and demand generators
  • Managing rate sheets and configuration of PMS system (Opera)
  • Analyzing and reviewing monthly and weekly STAR Report results, understanding gains or losses of RevPAR Index and applying this knowledge to impact and predict future results
  • Staying abreast of industry and local market trends
  • Collaborating with the marketing department to fabricate demand during need periods and identify strategic e-blast and other marketing offers
  • Leveraging Mosaic Hotel Group’s proprietary technology to drive superior results
  • Chairing the development of all pricing and market mix strategies
  • Providing strategic tactics based on historical data and current trends
  • Participating in the annual RFP process for negotiated accounts
  • Assisting in the development and execution of a strategic plan and the annual operating plan for the hotels
  • Analyzing market trends and communicating results to the corporate and hotel sales teams
  • Developing, monitoring and adjusting group pricing strategies, preferred patterns, and need periods
  • Performing displacement analysis on groups to support group sales decisions
  • Managing group cut-off dates and block shortfalls and overages
  • Training sales and front office teams to understand revenue management principles and the roles they play
  • Training team on how to maximize the value of available revenue management tools

The physical requirements listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and key responsibilities of this position. Work conditions in certain areas of the hotels can be hot, cold, wet, slippery and/or noisy. 

 Frequent walking, including climbing up and down stairs are required.  Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach and stoop as needed, sometimes for extended periods, and to occasionally lift and carry heavy items up to 40 pounds (may be aided). Ability to see, talk and hear. 

 REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Skilled in problem analysis, problem solving and decision making
  • Above average Excel knowledge; extremely comfortable compiling and manipulating data
  • Aptitude to perform numerical analysis of data and formulate conclusions and solutions
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
  • Track record of working collaboratively with others to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hotel revenue management experience preferred
