Foxtail Catering & Events (www.foxtailcatering.com) is seeking a talented and enthusiastic event planning assistant.

Foxtail Catering & Events is a full-service event planning and catering company based in the Dogpatch in SF. We have grown quickly over the past several years and now, along with our partner brands LRE Catering and 415 Catering, have grown to become one of the Bay Area's leading caterers in terms of the volume, scale, and caliber of our events, clients and venue relationships. 

Event planning assistants are paired with a single senior sales person/event planner. They participate in all phases of event planning, from proposal building to vendor coordination to onsite execution and leadership.  We're seeking applicants who are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about every phase of the event planning process, from the details of rental orders and staff plans, to the final details of day-of production and service. While we would love to hear from folks with years of experience in the events industry, experience in administrative assistance and personal characteristics like attention to detail, organization and adaptability are even more important.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
*Must have exceptional organizational, time management and administrative skills as well as an acute attention to detail.
*Must be accountable, collaborative, and self-motivated
*Must have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
*Must have some experience in the event industry, and must be passionate about all aspects of food and events
*Must possess a leadership and collaboration style based on accountability and honesty, interest in teaching and team building, and leading by example.
*Must be an adaptable, flexible team player with an outstanding attitude and an understanding of the big picture.
*Familiarity and skill with spreadsheet and word processing applications
*Must be able to work full shifts on his/her feet, both standing and walking, when required at events.
*Two year commitment to assistant position requested
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - ONE TO THREE YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN AT LEAST TWO OF THE FOLLOWING:
*Administrative or Executive Assistance
*Front of House Restaurant or Catering Service
*Event Sales, Marketing, and Outreach
*Event Planning, Production and/or Design
*Onsite Event Coordination and Service
 
PREFERRED QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE:
*Experience with administrative or executive assistance
*Experience in catering-specific event planning
*Experience in fine dining restaurants
*Knowledge of premier Bay Area event venues and vendors
