Yankee Pier® Lafayette, a bustling and vibrant seafood house, offers Chef Michael Romak’s ocean-fresh seafood “fresh from coast to coast.” Local seafood, sourced in accord with the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program, which promotes sustainable practices that are healthy for ocean wildlife and the environment, is presented with a nod toward New England. Live Maine lobsters, fresh-shucked oysters, an array of grilled fresh fish, and beer-battered fish & chips and full belly Ipswich clams are some of the offerings, along with local produce, house-made desserts, a selection of all-American wines and a full bar.

We are currently interviewing Hosts & Servers!

As the Host, you will courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, while ensuring our high standards of service.  You will assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room at all times.  Taking reservations and maintaining reservations is within the scope of this role. You will also assist in monitoring guests' needs. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate
  • Ability to communicate with proper grammar in English
  • Six months’ experience in similar position dealing with the general public

As a Servers in our restaurant, you will provide outstanding service to our guests to ensure a memorable dining experience.  You will take food and beverage orders from our guests, and serve food orders and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages to our guests’ tables according to our restaurant and/or hotel service standards. You will be asked to assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • One year of experience as a casual upscale dining Server or equivalent
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
  • Food Handler Certification
