GM for Upscale Vegan Restaurant - New Opening

Seeking a dynamic General Manger to oversee buildout of a new upscale SF restaurant who will play a key role in its overall success. The GM will lead daily operations and administrative functions (including HR procedures, employee training, scheduling, daily sales reporting, invoice tracking, etc.). The General Manager will serve as a positive role model to our staff and guests and lead an engaging and knowledgeable staff in order to provide guests with a seamless end-to-end experience. We are seeking someone who is passionate about providing exceptional service and generous hospitality! 

EXPECTATIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Self-starter and positive leader who has previous experience building, training, mentoring and leading a team.
  • Prior experience opening a restaurant in San Francisco, including involvement in the buildout, is preferred. 
  • Manage the restaurant build-out and facilitate pre-opening budgeting (construction, hiring, menu testing, etc).
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef to ensure overall consistency of service and product, as well as budget control. Able to foster a positive relationship between FOH and BOH.
  • Ability to create systems that lay the groundwork for the organization and structure of business. (FOH Training program, select POS system, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing budgets, financial planning + strategy, labor compliance + scheduling and process improvement.
  • Ability to identify problems, implement sustained solutions, and improve results.
  • Oversee Private Dining scheduling and events. Initiate outreach strategies to promote restaurant and private dining program.
  • Build marketing plans and neighborhood relationships. 
  • Our ideal candidate has 2+ years previous experience as a Restaurant GM.
