Seeking an experienced technician with basic maintenance knowledge to join our team!

To maintain and repair equipment and systems throughout the facility to ensure safe and proper operation under the supervision of an Engineer II, Engineer I or Management.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Respond to guest requests throughout the hotel to make the necessary repairs and/or to accommodate the guests needs in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and testing of all systems, subsystems and equipment including disassembly, replacement, cleaning, and repair.
  • Repair, maintain and troubleshoot equipment in accordance with wiring diagrams, schematics, operations manuals and manufacturers’ maintenance instructions. Use of equipment such as, but not limited to, multi-meters, hand, and power tools are required to perform the functions of the position.
  • Maintain light fixtures throughout the facility by replacing burned out light bulbs and/or making necessary repairs/replacements to the light fixtures on a routine and regular basis to sustain lighting standards. Required to use a ladder or high lift working at heights up to 30 feet, often reaching above head, for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • Perform all necessary repairs in guest rooms including plumbing, furniture repair, paint, wall repair, and other general maintenance duties.
  • Answer radio calls and work off work tickets, with total building knowledge.
  • Respond to all guest emergency calls in a timely manner.
  • Maintain clear and precise log of daily activities.
  • Participate in handling all emergencies in the resort—i.e. fire, power failure, earthquake, flood, etc.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and supplies and notify management of shortage.
  • Any and all other duties that are required of a resort engineer and as directed or requested by management.
  • Be knowledgeable with the safety program and ensure its effective implementation. Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Perform the necessary repairs to moderately complex equipment such as vacuum cleaners, toasters, lamps and small appliances on an as needed basis. Work is performed in a workshop environment and requires working at a workbench.
  • Due to the nature of the business the electrician may be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor such as assisting other trades.

Position will be required to work varied schedule that may include evenings/nights, weekends and holidays.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from trade school or any other combination of education, training or experience of at least one year that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. One year maintenance experience in buildings. No special licenses required.
