The Sterile Processing Department is responsible for the Decontamination, Set Assembly/Preparation, and Sterilization of all medical equipment, surgical instrumentation, and operating room Case Carts.</P><br/><P style=MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN-TOP: 0px> </P><br/><P style=MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN-TOP: 0px><STRONG>Essential Functions:<BR></STRONG>- Responsible for the safe and efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and equipment. Monitors and maintains a safe work environment. Twenty four hour accountability for all personnel and activities occurring in the Sterile Processing Department.<BR>- Provides direct and effective supervision to ensure timely delivery of clean and/or sterile instrumentation and medical equipment. Maintains adequate department staffing levels to ensure daily operation services to the Operating Room. Monitors, maintains, and records all department quality assurance systems activities in accordance with departmental and facility policy; The Joint Commission, OSHA and Title 22 regulations and requirements.<BR>- Partners with the Sterile Processing Site Manager in evaluating change in policies and procedures, and implements appropriate systems to accommodate these changes. Conducts departmental orientation, training, skills review, and assists Site Manager with educational programs to maintain high staff performance standards. Monitors inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies, preventing waste and controlling costs. Assists management with payroll, non-payroll and capital budgets. Assists management, as assigned, in developing and reporting quality assurance reports to appropriate committees.<BR>- Provides for ongoing communications with staff and ancillary departments; provides a forum for staff involvement in problem identification and resolution. Attends management meetings locally and Regionally as assigned. Participates in medical center and nursing committees, as assigned, in order to share information, problem solve, and evaluate the impact of services to receiving departments. Meets regularly with management to share information regarding department activities.<BR>- Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis. At any time, Kaiser Permanente reserves the right to reevaluate and change job descriptions, or to change such positions from salaried to hourly pay status. <p>Big Night Restaurant Group is looking for a passionate individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to become a part of a close knit, creative, kitchen management team. <br />Our ideal candidate possesses a strong leadership quality, with at least 3 years experience managing a kitchen in a fine dining, high volume restaurant. <br />The position will provide direct support to the Chef de Cuisine overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, cooking, production, inventory, quality control and sanitation according to the standards set by the CDC. <br />Tasks and Responsibility:<br />-Uphold standards at all time, maintaining superior attention to detail while working with speed and accuracy during period of high pressure and stress. <br />-Assist in the responsibility to select, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel employees in accordance with the restaurants policies and procedures. <br />-Must possess expertise of every station on the line and fill in when necessary. <br />-Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas. <br />-Assist with placing daily orders and manage large roster of purveyors and suppliers. <br />-Assist with cost control, inventory and weekly invoices. <br />-Expediting busy lunch, brunch and dinner services. <br /><br />Requirements:<br />-Exacting palate and knowledge of local product and purveyors, as well as deep familiarity of the San Francisco food scene. <br />-Strong communication skills and a mild temperament are paramount. <br />-Flexible schedule is required, including nights and weekends. <br />-Food safety certificate. <br />-Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. <br /><br />We offer competitive salary, paid time off and health benefits.</p> </div>
