Operations, Procurement and Marketing Support for small food import company

Work closely with the founder, product specialist, two sales associates and the CEO.   Our products are sold nationally and are imported from France, Spain, GB.  We also have a line of house-products created by the founder and product specialist.  We’re looking for an individual who is a self-starter, wants to be challenged, and enjoys working as an active team member.  Individual must be detail oriented and enjoy a varied workload.   We have a very busy 4th Quarter so ability to juggle multiple tasks and handle stress are required.  We’re looking for a person with a background in food, product purchasing, or warehouse administration, with two to three years’ experience.  We are located within easy walking distance to Rockridge BART.

 

The role has primary responsibility over the company’s day to day operations and logistics.  Under the guidance of the team, the individual will manage the company’s regular product ordering, procurement and marketing activities, namely:

 

Operations:
·      Enter and send sales orders to our two public warehouses.
·      Update product shortage logs.
·      Fulfill sample requests and update sample log.
·      Answer phone and email inquiries.
·      Create sales reports for sales team.
·      Fill out new product item forms and other paperwork at sales team’s request.
·      Purchase and maintain inventory on office supplies.
·      Enter and pay Account Payables. 

       Credit card reconciliation.
·      Enter Account Receivables and make monthly bank deposits. 

       Maintain up to date price list

       Insurance claims when necessary


Supply Chain / Procurement:
·      Place purchase orders with domestic and international vendors.
·      Coordinate logistics with freight forwarders for international products.
·      Maintain inventory levels for raw materials and packing.
·      Responsible for production schedule ­­for all KL Keller house-products.
·      Coordinate all domestic small parcels (FedEx; USPS; UPS), and LTL shipments to meet customers required     delivery schedules.

  • Track missing or damaged product, with appropriate follow-up.
    ·      Assist on forecasting sales projections.
  • Assist in pricing analysis for new products
    ·      Create inventory reports to aid sales team.

 

Marketing / Web / Trade Shows:
·      Create and update web pages for KLKeller.com.
·      Create hero images for KLKeller.com.
·      Create and update print marketing materials: product pages, recipe cards, shelf talkers, photos, etc.
·      Create and send monthly newsletters using Mailchimp
·      Manage trade show operations: inventory, logistics, marketing materials and all paper work required.

       Participate in regional and national (2) trade shows.

 

Proficiency in Excel; Mailchimp; Word; Adobe Suite: Indesign & Photoshop.   

 

Bi-lingual French or Spanish would be very helpful
