415 Catering is looking for a Highly-motivated, Friendly, Service Oriented Catering Captain, to help lead our onsite catering services. We are hospitality centric team, and we take as much pride in serving meticulously crafted menus, as we do bringing warmth and joy, to our guests.
As a company dedicated to providing our clients with a meaningful experience through our catered lunches, we are looking for extraordinary professionals to help lead our team!
Currently, we are looking for Catering Captains to assist managing our onsite corporate lunches. We have part-time, daytime shifts available and allow for scheduling flexibility with average shifts running from 7-8 hours. This is perfect for someone who enjoys the fast pace of catering, carries a strong sense of urgency, thinks critically, and maintain calm under pressure.
Starting rate is $24/hr with opportunity for growth.
Daily Role:
- Attentive to client needs as well as the service presentation.
- Oversee and manage all event logistics from load-out to return.
- Manage and direct all staff. Ensure the adherence to proper uniform and hospitality standards.
- Interface effectively with Catering and Culinary Departments, attend production meetings as needed.
- Communicate via email, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
- Meets and exceeds the expectations of the customer and client perceived value.
- Serve as client point of contact for "day-of" opportunities.
- Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner.
- Represents the company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer, client and employee interactions.
- Can create staff plans, event guides, break guides, and floor plans
- Has a teaching oriented management style
- Can work with our management team to develop new processes
Requirements:
- Applicants available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with possibility to pick up more shifts.
- 3+ year of Hospitality/Catering and Leadership experience required.
- Punctuality, Accountability, Reliability, and Enthusiasm
- Positive attitude, Strong work ethic, Communication, & Patience
- Strong Multi-tasking & Time Management Skills
- Ability to lift 60-70 lb and familiarity with procedures for doing so safely.
- Ability to read, write and speak English. Spanish fluency a plus!
- Drivers License.
- Must have a food handlers certification.
- Participating in ongoing training programs, which is a valuable resume addition.
