<p>Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties and often work chairside as dentists examine and treat patients.</p>
<p>Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.</p>
<p>Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices.</p>
<p>Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures, and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.</p>
<p>Prepare materials for impressions and restorations, take dental x-rays, and process x-ray film as directed by the dentist.</p>
<p>Schedule appointments and order dental supplies and materials.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>
<p><strong>The following are indicative of the essential functions required to perform this job successfully. Other duties may be assigned by management.</strong></p>
<p>1. Treatment</p>

<li>See that room set-up is complete for treatment type prior to bringing patient back</li>
<li>Have chart pulled up on computer with x-rays/HIPPA view</li>
<li>Verify signed treatment plan in chart</li>
<li>Verify patient paid for estimated portion</li>
<li>Verify all consent forms for treatment have been signed</li>
<li>Check health history for health condition/allergies</li>
<li>Greet patient by name, introduce themselves</li>
<li>Complete all routing forms</li>
<li>Seat patient in operatory</li>
<li>Confirm treatment scheduled for that day with patient</li>
<li>Assist dentist with treatment</li>
<li>Enter clinical notes in patient chart</li>
<li>Enter completed treatment for day</li>
<li>Go over post-op care with patient per treatment/answer questions</li>
<li>Confirm patient has appointments for next treatment or recall appointment if treatment has been completed. Always schedule the next available appointment for the patient’s provider.</li>
<li>Give patient “Care Enough To Share” card</li>
<li>Walk patient out and complete lab work</li>
<li>Recall/New Patients</li>
<li>See that room set up is complete for recall/hygiene type prior to bringing back patient</li>

<li>Verify all consent forms have been signed/financial policy in place</li>

<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties and often work chairside as dentists examine and treat patients.</p>
<p>Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.</p>
<p>Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices.</p>
<p>Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures, and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.</p>
<p>Prepare materials for impressions and restorations, take dental x-rays, and process x-ray film as directed by the dentist.</p>
<p>Schedule appointments and order dental supplies and materials.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>
<p><strong>The following are indicative of the essential functions required to perform this job successfully. Other duties may be assigned by management.</strong></p>
<p>1. Treatment</p>

<li>See that room set-up is complete for treatment type prior to bringing patient back</li>
<li>Have chart pulled up on computer with x-rays/HIPPA view</li>
<li>Verify signed treatment plan in chart</li>
<li>Verify patient paid for estimated portion</li>
<li>Verify all consent forms for treatment have been signed</li>
<li>Check health history for health condition/allergies</li>
<li>Greet patient by name, introduce themselves</li>
<li>Complete all routing forms</li>
<li>Seat patient in operatory</li>
<li>Confirm treatment scheduled for that day with patient</li>
<li>Assist dentist with treatment</li>
<li>Enter clinical notes in patient chart</li>
<li>Enter completed treatment for day</li>
<li>Go over post-op care with patient per treatment/answer questions</li>
<li>Confirm patient has appointments for next treatment or recall appointment if treatment has been completed. Always schedule the next available appointment for the patient’s provider.</li>
<li>Give patient “Care Enough To Share” card</li>
<li>Walk patient out and complete lab work</li>
<li>Recall/New Patients</li>
<li>See that room set up is complete for recall/hygiene type prior to bringing back patient</li>

<li>Break down tray</li>
<li>Scrub instruments, place in ultrasonic</li>
<li>Bag and run any instruments/hand-pieces needing sterilization</li>

<li>Keep area clean at all times</li>

<li>Filling Schedule</li>
<li>Make sure your cleaning responsibility is complete before leaving for day</li>
<li><strong>COMPLETELY</strong> stock operatory before leaving</li>

<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties and often work chairside as dentists examine and treat patients.</p>
<p>Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.</p>
<p>Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices.</p>
<p>Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures, and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.</p>
<p>Prepare materials for impressions and restorations, take dental x-rays, and process x-ray film as directed by the dentist.</p>
<p>Schedule appointments and order dental supplies and materials.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>
<p><strong>The following are indicative of the essential functions required to perform this job successfully. Other duties may be assigned by management.</strong></p>
<p>1. Treatment</p>
<ul>
<li>See that room set-up is complete for treatment type prior to bringing patient back</li>
<li>Have chart pulled up on computer with x-rays/HIPPA view</li>
<li>Verify signed treatment plan in chart</li>
<li>Verify patient paid for estimated portion</li>
<li>Verify all consent forms for treatment have been signed</li>
<li>Check health history for health condition/allergies</li>
<li>Greet patient by name, introduce themselves</li>
<li>Complete all routing forms</li>
<li>Seat patient in operatory</li>
<li>Confirm treatment scheduled for that day with patient</li>
<li>Assist dentist with treatment</li>
<li>Enter clinical notes in patient chart</li>
<li>Enter completed treatment for day</li>
<li>Go over post-op care with patient per treatment/answer questions</li>
<li>Confirm patient has appointments for next treatment or recall appointment if treatment has been completed. Always schedule the next available appointment for the patient’s provider.</li>
<li>Give patient “Care Enough To Share” card</li>
<li>Walk patient out and complete lab work</li>
<li>Recall/New Patients</li>
<li>See that room set up is complete for recall/hygiene type prior to bringing back patient</li>
<li>Verify patient paid for the day’s estimated treatment</li>
<li>Verify all consent forms have been signed/financial policy in place</li>
<li>Check health history for health condition/allergies</li>
<li>Change status in computer</li>
<li>Pick up route slip from receptionist</li>
<li>Greet patient by name, introduce themselves</li>
<li>Seat patient in operatory</li>
<li>Confirm treatment scheduled that day with patient</li>
<li>Take xrays/Prophy/Flouride</li>
<li>Assist dentist with exam/chart pre-existing/new treatment</li>
<li>Present treatment plan under $2000 to patient</li>
<li>Sterilize operatory, take tray and necessary instruments to sterilization area</li>
<li>Sterilization</li>
<li>Break down tray</li>
<li>Scrub instruments, place in ultrasonic</li>
<li>Bag and run any instruments/hand-pieces needing sterilization</li>
<li>Set-up trays</li>
<li>Keep area clean at all times</li>
<li>Care Calls</li>
<li>Filling Schedule</li>
<li>Make sure your cleaning responsibility is complete before leaving for day</li>
<li><strong>COMPLETELY</strong> stock operatory before leaving</li>
<li>Check basket for items to be handled</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></p>

<li>Graduation from a Dental Assistant Training Program</li>
<li>Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation</li>
<li>Current certification in radiology</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge of the organization, functions, responsibilities, and procedures</li>
