Established San Francisco California-Italian restaurant in the SOMA district is seeking a talented Sous Chef with two years management experience to join our team.

We are a farm to table restaurant featuring California- Italian cuisine.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to direct a Spanish speaking staff- Bilingual language ability.
  • Must be able to compose creative dishes using seasonal and local produce and have an impeccable palate when critiquing and tasting food.
  • Be able to assist the Executive Chef with menu development.
  • Are passionate about wood fired pizza.
  • Are excited to make fresh pasta every day.
  • Must have a team mindset / be a team player, with strong communication skills to lead, motivate and manage a staff of anywhere from up to 20.
  • Must have strong line work experience in a fast paced environment, a great sense of urgency, and have strong time management skills.
  • Experience with food cost, inventory, labor cost, administrative paperwork, and ordering.
  • Have an authoritative, professional, and respectful demeanor while staying calm and composed under pressure.
  • Must be able to work weekends and nights.
