We are currently interviewing for a Front Desk Manager!

The Front Desk Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager by overseeing the hotel's overall day-to-day operations including guest satisfaction, providing leadership for the Front Office and promoting a positive work environment for employees, profitability and financial performance,  and revenue optimization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the front facing team members with the goal of providing exceptional service for our guests, assist at Front Office in times of heavy check-in/outs.
  • Maintain proper shift coverage, including covering meal breaks and call offs
  • Monitor service and teamwork on a regular basis and coach employees on providing exceptional service and teamwork
  • Supervise day to day activities of staff and assign responsibilities for specific work duties, projects, or functional activities
  • Conduct morning reviews with staff ensuring all VIPs, deliveries, special requests are executed appropriately
  • Continually develop the skills of the staff in order to increase overall performance
  • Resolve guest inquiries and complaints
  • Assist the revenue management function including loading and yielding rates as needed to achieve budgeted room revenues
  • Monitor the local rooms market to ensure competitiveness by having strategic rates and promotions in order to drive the business
  • Promote and monitor guest reviews and maintain statistical records
  • Increase efficiency of the property by analyzing procedures and practices and implementing alternative strategies as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Satisfactorily communicate in English with guests and co-workers to their understanding in person and by telephone
  • Must have previous hotel experience, preferably in a management position
