Working with Business Units, Network and other Infrastructure Services teams, the Senior Security Engineer will deliver an infrastructure solution that is technically sound, resilient to failure, operationally supportable, and meets the requirements of the business. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, will be forward thinking, will be self-motivated, and will be able to work effectively in a diverse, highly talented team, continuously striving for excellence. <br /><br /><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities</strong><br />• Create and maintain operational guidelines and processes to directly support security architecture and design. <br />• Support new and existing security solutions and partner with the security engineering team for the implementation and integration of any new enhancements made to existing security solutions in support of improving overall enterprise security. <br />• Ensure security tools and solutions hardware/software/devices are operating effectively and updated in a timely manner. <br />• Develop and maintain operating guidelines and procedures in support of Fiservs policies, standards and guidelines. <br />• Determine appropriate levels of security configuration, controls and monitoring. <br />• Use appropriate and effective measures to respond to network security alerts. <br />• Support the deployment of new security solutions in multiple data centers. <br />• Oversee the execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits as requested. <br />• Support incident management processes and security monitoring alerts in preventing internal / external hackers from compromising Fiserv’s data and assets. <br />• Understand the latest hacker techniques and propose appropriate countermeasures, configurations and awareness. <br />• Supply remote access technologies to internal/external users. <br />• Overall central management of web filtering and related quarterly reporting. <br />• Work with members of all BU and ETG staff to support the enterprise approach to security. <br />• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise networks. Perform ticket queue monitoring, resolution and prioritization, maintain diagrams and documentation as appropriate and support firewall rule set reviews, auditing and maintenance activities <br /><br /><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>
<p><br />Education: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or Risk Management.</p>
<p><strong>Job Related Experience</strong></p>
<p>• 2+ years of experience in IT Security or related area with a focus on security tool technology, security management and policy enforcement <br />• Prior experience with network security & related applications, tools and solutions <br />• Any experience in a large complex Checkpoint firewall environment is a plus <br />• Understanding of firewalls, proxy’s, network routing and switching architecture, design and troubleshooting <br />• Experience supporting 24x7x365 high availability solutions in large complex data center environment <br /><br />• Strong organizational skills <br />• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines <br />• Ability to work efficiently and productively without direction or guidance <br />• Capable of exercising extreme discretion and independent judgment <br />• Ability to handle extremely confidential information in a professional manner <br />• Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a high level of confidence <br /><br /><strong>Travel</strong> <br />• less than 20% of the year <br /><br /><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong><br />• Checkpoint VSX and Provider 1, Cisco ASA experience / Juniper Firewall/NAC experience, SourceFire IPS, RSA token management, Web Application Firewall, Palo Alto, Bluecoat SG/CAS Experience, ServiceNow, PCI DSS compliance knowledge. Working with Business Units, Network and other Infrastructure Services teams, the Senior Security Engineer will deliver an infrastructure solution that is technically sound, resilient to failure, operationally supportable, and meets the requirements of the business. Delivery of the infrastructure solution includes a variety of skills including infrastructure architecture; hands-on build-out and configuration of the infrastructure, as well as project technical lead ensuring projects are delivered within scope and on-time. A high degree of collaboration with other IS teams is required to provide right level of agility within a defined delivery process. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, will be forward thinking, will be self-motivated, and will be able to work effectively in a diverse, highly talented team, continuously striving for excellence. <br /><br /><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities</strong><br />• Create and maintain operational guidelines and processes to directly support security architecture and design. <br />• Support new and existing security solutions and partner with the security engineering team for the implementation and integration of any new enhancements made to existing security solutions in support of improving overall enterprise security. <br />• Ensure security tools and solutions hardware/software/devices are operating effectively and updated in a timely manner. <br />• Develop and maintain operating guidelines and procedures in support of Fiservs policies, standards and guidelines. <br />• Determine appropriate levels of security configuration, controls and monitoring. <br />• Use appropriate and effective measures to respond to network security alerts. <br />• Support the deployment of new security solutions in multiple data centers. <br />• Oversee the execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits as requested. <br />• Support incident management processes and security monitoring alerts in preventing internal / external hackers from compromising Fiserv’s data and assets. <br />• Understand the latest hacker techniques and propose appropriate countermeasures, configurations and awareness. <br />• Supply remote access technologies to internal/external users. <br />• Overall central management of web filtering and related quarterly reporting. <br />• Work with members of all BU and ETG staff to support the enterprise approach to security. <br />• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise networks.
