Chassis Container Mechanic

H&M International Transportation- a World Class provider of Inter-modal Services is looking for full time Chassis/Container Mechanics at our Jersey City location.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine/scheduled maintenance on railroad leased/owned containers and chassis
• Repairing of equipment in accordance with Railroad, manufacturer, and FMCSA guidelines
• Documenting all repairs according to an established reporting system; verbally and in writing
• Maintaining safe work habits and utilizing time wisely and efficiently.
• Utilizing various company-implemented training programs to upgrade technical skills

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently, in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to perform work in all types of weather conditions
• Solid written and verbal skills for documentation of repair orders
• Must have own hand tools
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Minimum of 1 year verifiable mechanic experience in ANY industry
