Team Description

You will work on our product development team, which is responsible for building out the testing platform that administers all of our candidate and employee assessments. This team is also responsible for our client-facing dashboards, which help companies understand the current state of their employees — and how they're doing from a talent acquisition point of view.

Role Description

We are looking for an intelligent and inventive JavaScript Developer. Your primary responsibility will be the implementation of visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all client-side logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Take smart risks and champion new ideas.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
• Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Vue
• Experience with asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Proficient knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues.
• Familiarity with front-end build tools.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Solid understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance.
• Willingness to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them.
