Augustine is looking for an Associate Trade & Market Development Manager to work with one of our largest clients based out of their Irving, TX office location.  Our client is revolutionizing the produce industry by understanding shopper and consumer behaviors to develop innovative marketing campaigns that inspire and influence them along the path to purchase.

We are searching for a passionate, organized, resourceful, creative, self-starter to support the client’s Trade and Shopper Marketing team. This person will be accountable for supporting the development and execution of trade and shopper marketing campaign elements, in-store merchandising and post-analysis of promotional programs. Examples include supporting campaign execution across all shopper marketing vehicles (coupons, in-store merchandising displays/signage, sweepstakes) and tracking/managing key performance metrics. This role will also support the client on the budgeting, analysis and implementation of the trade promotion plans, tactics, funding, post promotions analysis and communication.  Responsibilities will include ongoing generation of reports from internal and external data sources. Project/time management, organizational and excellent Microsoft excel skills are key needs for this role.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work with Client and agency partners to support development and execution of national and customer specific Shopper Marketing campaigns, integrated activation platforms, and initiatives that builds brand equity and drive positive business results at retail
  • Assist Client with activation execution of sell sheets, in-store signage/displays (creative, kit labels, and kit options), print & digital coupons set-up and redemptions, consumer sweepstakes, relationship marketing efforts (premiums) and multiple vendor management, etc.
  • Assist in management/tracking of key program performance metrics, communicate effectively with Client/Agency team members in all departments to deliver timely information and reports.
  • Support client with contract and vendor management.
  • Assists with data analysis and cleansing of records for reporting purposes.
  • Conduct post-analysis of marketing program results including shopper marketing and permanent merchandising display programs (i.e. in-store displays, digital/social impressions & engagement, coupon redemptions etc.)
  • Oversees external and internal Trade and Shopper web and communication portal updates.  
  • Manage and building weekly and ad-hoc reports including category information leveraging internal and external data resources such as A.C. Nielsen.
  • Maintains PO and budget tracking.
  • Support Client with presentation development, marketing assets creative, meeting notes, and provide timely follow-ups.
  • Performs additional duties or special projects as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required and in related field preferred (Business, Marketing, Advertising, Trade Marketing etc.)
  • 2-4 years of experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, promotion activation, and/or project management either with an agency, supplier or client company
  • Experience in CPG or CPG accounts/brands
  • Passion for executing with excellence and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management, time management and organization skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: 

  • History of collaboration with cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • An understanding of integrated marketing tactics and how they work together
  • Broad knowledge of the mobile/digital world, including social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.)
  • Assertive self-starter who can work independently, able to effectively handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and problem-solve on the fly
  • Proactive team player with a can-do attitude and ability to adapt and deliver under pressure
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of working in syndicated data resources such as IRI and/or A.C. Nielsen
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate relationships
  • Well-organized with superior attention to detail
  • Potential travel estimated at 10%
