Staff Accountant

The Slanted Door Group is hiring a full time, non- exempt position to join our multi-restaurant management company. Candidate must have minimum 2 to 3 years of solid accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or in a restaurant industry. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Manages full function of Accts Payable & Accts Receivable process including resolving disputes & discrepancies
• Perform full functions of in house Payroll and Payroll Taxes
• Reconciling daily sales, deposits, bank statements, updating the trial balance & profit and loss statement
• Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local municipality reporting and payments
• Audit, Review and Reconcile General Ledger/ Insurance policies
• Facilitate, supervise and perform monthly closing for multiple books
• Ensure all Financial, Payroll, Human Resources reporting are met timely
• Oversight of Tip compensation with location managers payroll
• Manage distribution of cash tips with Aline prepaid visa Portal
• Assist Controller in facilitating information with the Accounting and Management Team

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in QuickBooks/Intuit (Full function experience)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ADP
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in full Bookkeeping ( A/R, A/P, Payroll, Closing)
• Knowledge of systems: Toast, Micros, Plate IQ, Ctuit, Reciprofity, Concur etc...
• Excellent interpersonal, written, oral, and phone communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong PC skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Detail oriented, and the ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
