We are looking for a goal-driven sales person who wants to join a team of highly-motivated, passionate individuals in a fast-paced, full-service food and beverage cinema environment. This person is responsible for driving attendance and incremental sales by utilizing times when there is low opportunity cost and decreased business in order to book private events to outside guests.

The Sales Manager position must uphold the company’s core values to DO THE RIGHT THING, BOLDLY GO, GIVE A SH!T, and FOSTER COMMUNITY while delivering on our Mission Statement at all times and ensuring our high standards of quality and service to the staff and patrons.

You will work closely with other departments inside of our venue to implement company initiatives on a regular basis and are open to and embrace change. You should have a strong interest in movies, people and a better-than-most understanding about hospitality and the customer experience. You will have strong communication skills and be able to effectively engage other members of the team and those who will be both supporting and leading you.

You should be able to manage any potential stressful situations with employees, guests and vendors through your positive actions and commitment to excellence. You should value constructive feedback as a way to improve and understand that as a company we are only as strong as our people.

  • Ensures that ALL GUESTS have an AWESOME EXPERIENCE, and are EXCITED to come back.
  • Outbound and inbound sales generation through private, corporate, and community events;
  • Coordination and collaboration with operations, programing, and on-site management to deliver on the promise through event execution;
  • Through your actions and words, uphold and enforce the company mission, core values and code of conduct with your employees, guests and vendors;
  • Market and actively introduce the Alamo Drafthouse experience by increasing brand awareness, credibility, interest, closing sales, event execution, and retention through outbound sales generation;
  • Manage and respond to all guest inquiries via email, phone, and networking by addressing all inbound event interest;
  • Execute strategic initiatives set by your National Sales Director and track results;
  • Track goals, actual sales, and tentative sales by period, quarter, and annually;
  • Utilize Triple Seat (CRM, Customer Relationship Management tool) and other management tools to efficiently and productively manage venue, client and vendor relationships through solid communication both verbally and in writing;
  • Contribute during weekly manager meetings reporting all successes and opportunities within your department so that the venue can achieve the desired results.


  • Solid work history with experience reaching structured sales goals through solid communication processes;
  • Extensive exposure and understanding of events, film, and high-volume food and beverage service;
  • Strong desire to learn and share your success with others;
  • Ability to provide excellent guest experience working with and though your all departments;
  • Professional appearance and demeanor;
  • Ability to learn and work with established processes and proven procedures;
  • Developed value-based influential leadership skills that translate to effective results with co-workers and clients;
  • Competent computer skills and ability to navigate through Microsoft Office products;
  • Flexible schedule and understanding that 50hrs/week is expected, but can be more depending upon time of the year and movie schedule;
  • Ability to travel for scheduled training.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in the venue, which may or may not have stairs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and some lifting up to no more than 50 lbs.

HAZARDS: Only those present in a normal theater venue setting; no known significant hazards.
