China Live, one of San Francisco's hottest openings of 2017 is hiring experienced Pastry Cook. 
• Create and prepare food/desserts in accordance with the existent menus;
• Create and bake items to accompany different meals in restaurants and cafe;
• Preparing and plating desserts according to requirements;
• Able to take direction and ask questions about recipes to maintain proper production standards;
• Inspect the quality of the ingredients and measure them for specific recipes; 
• Clean and maintain equipment and utensils as well as daily kitchen cleanliness for proper functionality;
• Set up pastry/savory department for service; Organize and arrange all dessert/food products;
• Assume responsibility for quality and attractive appearance of dessert products;
• Know and comply consistently with the restaurant's standard portion sizes, serving methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures;
• Ensure that all food stations are kept clean and sanitary;
• Handle, package, store and rotate all products properly; store and refrigerate all dessert products;
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement;
• Other duties as assigned.
 And finally, an overall appreciation to learn Chinese cuisine with ingredients and techniques not normally seen in traditional restaurants.

China Live, a 30,000 sq. ft.  multi-concept venue at the gateway to Chinatown, includes the Market Restaurant & Bar serving seasonal Chinese dishes; the Marketplace featuring Chinese pantry, cooking and tabletop items; and the Oolong Café, an all-day café selling “grab and go” Chinese bites and Asian sourced teas.  The second floor includes Eight Tables by George Chen, an “intimate” space with a seasonal eight-course Chinese tasting menu, and a craft cocktail bar and lounge.  A third-floor banquet and event space tops off the offerings!
